A studio that stays through construction.
Mara Ellison started the studio after a decade drawing interiors for larger offices. The work now is smaller on purpose: houses in the Ojai valley and along the coast, usually for people who plan to stay.
Drawings, materials, and site visits are handled in-house. Contractors are brought in early so the details that matter get decided before they are expensive to change: a sill height, a switch plate, the depth of a shelf.
